The Re-enactment of the
                 Lewis and Clark Expedition

Two hundred years ago the original expedition camped near the Buryanek Recreation Area. The re-enactment was held in 2004.

Expedition members stand at attention as the flag is lowered at the end of the day. This was done every evening and again every morning as it was raised.

Three boats are tied up at the Buryanek campground.

Members are busy doing daily camp chores.
The expedition heads upriver in the early morning
